Materiality Identification Process

Step1: Extraction of social issues

From international frameworks such as the SDGs and the GRI Standards, those social issues that were considered to be associated with our company were extracted.

Step2: Questionnaire survey of stakeholders

In order to prioritize the social issues extracted under Step 1 from the perspective of stakeholders, a questionnaire survey of shareholders, investors, business partners, and our company's employees was conducted.

Step3: Questionnaire survey of group officers

In order to prioritize the social issues extracted under Step 1 from our perspective, a questionnaire survey of the officers of our group was conducted.

Step4: Consideration by management

The primary candidate materialities selected by the Sustainability Committee on the basis of the results under Steps 2 and 3 were optimized in light of opinions of the Directors, Auditors, and Corporate Executive Officers of our group, and thereby secondary candidate materialities were selected. Those secondary candidate materialities were approved by the Board of Directors of our company.
