Support for the Areas Affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024

Disaster Relief Support by the Japanese Red Cross Society
Morita Miyata Corporation, as part of its joint support activity with its distributors, donated part of its proceeds from sale of fire extinguishers to the disaster relief activity of the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Support for the Areas Affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake in 2016
Morita Miyata Corporation, as part of its joint reconstruction support activity with its distributors, donated to Kumamoto City five yen per fire extinguisher sold (stored-pressure powder ABC fire extinguisher "ALTESIMO") in support of the reconstruction of Kumamoto Castle, which had been damaged by the Kumamoto Earthquake.

- Donation of a fire extinguishing foam agent to the fire defense headquarters of the disaster-stricken areas
Morita donated a fire extinguishing foam agent for class A fire, which fire trucks with CAFS can use, to the fire defense headquarters of the disaster-stricken areas.

Morita and Morita Technos performed free-of-charge checkups of the Morita fire trucks which had been deployed to the disaster-stricken areas.
(Implementation period: from Aug. 2011 to Dec. 2011) - Cooperating in a project of donating secondhand fire trucks
Cooperating with the Fire Chiefs' Association of Japan in its project to donate secondhand fire trucks, Morita and Morita Technos conducted checkups of the pumps of the fire defense headquarters of the disaster-stricken areas, maintained relevant vehicles, replaced the characters written on those vehicles, and arranged the land transportation of those vehicles.

Morita Miyata Corporation, as part of its joint reconstruction support activity with its distributors, installed units of a packaged automatic fire extinguishing system "SPRINEX mini" in emergency temporary housing located in Minami-Sanriku-cho, Miyagi Prefecture and in public housing for disaster refugees located in Souma City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Morita Miyata Corporation, as part of its joint reconstruction support activity with its distributors, donated 10 yen per fire extinguisher sold (stored-pressure powder ABC fire extinguisher "ALTESIMO"), endorsing the fund-raising for preservation of the miraculous lone pine by Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture.

Execution of Disaster Relief Agreements with Local Municipalities and Relevant Assistance
Morita Econos
Morita Econos has endorsed the disaster relief support agreement executed between Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture and Chigasaki Vantech, a limited private company, in January 2019 (agreement concerning cooperation in the collection and transportation of human waste, etc. in a time of disaster). As a member of the Kanagawa Prefecture Environmental Development Program Cooperative Association (the Human Waste Septic Tank Cleaning Association within Kanagawa Prefecture), Morita Econos provides wide-ranging assistance, such as the provision of parts for environmental sanitary vehicles and assistance in terms of their repair system and the lending and provision of vehicles at the time of disasters, as well as comprehensive assistance in relation to vehicles.
Hokkaido Morita
As a member of Sapporo Jakuden, which is a cooperative association, Hokkaido Morita executed an agreement on emergency activities to be conducted at the time of disasters with Sapporo City in March 2014. Hokkaido Morita provides the Public Building Department of the Urban Renewal & Development Bureau of Sapporo City with assistance in its repair, etc. of fire extinguishing equipment, etc. owned by the city.
Morita Miyata Corporation
Morita Miyata Corporation executed with Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture an agreement in July 2008, under which Morita Miyata Corporation will open the gymnasium on the premises of its Chigasaki Factory as an evacuation site in the event evacuation shelters of the city are not sufficient to accommodate evacuees at the time of a large-scale disaster. This agreement also incorporates a provision that designates a part of the premises as a temporary helicopter landing pad to be used, for example, to transport emergency relief supplies and seriously injured persons.
Joining a Corporate Collaboration Based Volunteer Fire Corps
Morita
Morita believes that ensuring "safety and security" in the Sanda City Technopark, Hyogo Prefecture, in which Morita's factory is located, is one of its missions as a fire truck manufacturer and has accordingly joined a "corporate collaboration based volunteer fire corps," which is a model project set up by the prefecture with the aim of promoting participation in volunteer fire corps. In December 2016, Morita was designated as the prefecture's first "corporate collaboration based volunteer fire corps" and, since then, participates in fire fighting events held by the city and disaster drills in the community and conducts other fire fighting related activities.
