1907

Apr Shosaku Morita established the "FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION" in Kitasumiya, Minami-ku, Osaka City and started production of fire pumps and fire extinguishers.

1910

May Developed Japan's first fire pump with a gasoline engine.

1912

Oct Changed the trade name to MORITA SEISAKUSHO LTD.

1917

Developed Japan's first fire truck.

1932

Jul Established MORITA GASOLINE PUMP SEISAKUSHO CO., LTD. (the current MORITA HOLDINGS CORPORATION).

1939

Sep Changed the trade name to MORITA PUMP KOGYO CO., LTD.

1944

Jun Established a factory in Ikuno-ku, Osaka City, which focused on the manufacture of various fire pumps.

1948

Mar Established MORITA PUMP SERVICE FACTORY LTD.(the current MORITA ECONOS CORPORATION).

1951

Aug Moved the Head Office to Ikuno-ku, Osaka City.

Sep Started Fire Protection Equipment & Systems business

1961

Mar Changed the trade name to MORITA FIRE PUMP MFG. CO., LTD.

May Listed on the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.

1979

May Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1980

Apr Upgraded to the First Section in both the Osaka Securities Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1993

Oct Established Sanda Factory (the current Sanda-West Factory) in Techno Park in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture.

1994

Apr Started Recycling Machines business.

1997

Apr Changed the trade name to MORITA CORPORATION.

2001

Aug Concluded a tie-up concerning capital-related operations with MIYATA INDUSTRY CO., LTD.

2002

Apr Established MORITA TECHNOS CORPORATION for refurbishment and aftercare service for fire trucks.

2008

Apr Established Sanda New Factory (the current Sanda-East Factory) in Techno Park in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, and relocated the function of the main factory (Ikuno-ku, Osaka City) to this new factory.

2008

Oct Introduced holding company through a spin-off, changing the name of MORITA CORPORATION to MORITA HOLDINGS CORPORATION, and assigning the fire fighting vehicles business to MORITA CORPORATION, the disaster prevention business to MORITA BOHSAI TECH CORPORATION and the environmental business to MORITA ENVIRONMENTAL TECH CORPORATION.

2008

Nov Acquired 79.4% of MIYATA INDUSTRY CO., LTD. through a takeover bid.

2009

Aug Acquired 100% of MIYATA INDUSTRY CO., LTD. through a share exchange.

2010

Jun Established MIYATA CYCLE CO. LTD. as a spin-off MIYATA INDUSTRY CO., LTD.'s bicycle business.

2013

May Moved the Osaka Head Office to Chuo-ku, Osaka City.

2014

Jul MORITA BOHSAI TECH CORPORATION merged with MIYATA INDUSTRY CO., LTD. to form MORITA MIYATA CORPORATION.

Jan Acquired Finland's BRONTO SKYLIFT OY AB.

Jun Divested MIYATA CYCLE CO. LTD. to MERIDA INDUSTRY CO., LTD.
