Ideal for Bulk Cutting of Large & Heavy Scraps

Guillotine Press (Scrap shear) is designed to mainly compress and cut heavy scraps from discarded ships or construction scraps into pieces of the size suitable for use as raw material for steelmaking. The robust machine of a strong construction produces outstanding shearing force. Its throughput per cycle is by far higher than that of the competing products. The machine also features encoder control to adjust the shearing force, achieving substantial energy saving. Morita Environmental Tech offers optimal equipment layout and throughput to your needs.

Cutting Speed of 4 Cuts per Minute

The machine uses a new hydraulic system to achieve a cutting speed of 4 cuts per minute. This throughput is higher than the company's existing products by 40 percent. The motor capacity is smaller than that of the company's existing machines with similar functions by 40 percent, achieving both higher efficiency and lower environmental load.

Use of Environmentally-Friendly Hydraulic System

The new hydraulic system pursues not only high-speed cutting but also reduction of the environmental load. (*4)

• Energy saving: The machine can be driven by the motor of lower capacity by 40 percent (compared to the company's existing products) thanks to the higher-efficiency hydraulic control.
• Low noise: The hydraulic pump has been renewed. The use of new pump control technology achieves lower noise.
• Low vibration: The power unit has been renewed. The equipment layout is designed to reduce vibration.

Main Body Construction for Safety and Security
