Fire Extinguisher Recycling System

From the completion of manufacture of each fire extinguisher until the time it has finished serving its purpose -- The Morita Group engages in protection of the environment and effective utilization of resources throughout all the processes of fire extinguishers' life cycle. First, we eliminate as much waste as possible in the processes of development, manufacture, and collection of fire extinguishers and recycle those fire extinguishers which have finished serving their role. As a bearer of safety and security, Morita Group will continue to effectively use limited resources and materialize the manufacture of fire extinguishers that can contribute to society.

In order to eliminate the illegal dumping of unnecessary fire extinguishers and promote the legally compliant, smooth, and efficient collection and recycling of unnecessary fire extinguishers, the member fire extinguisher manufacturers of the Japan Fire Extinguisher Manufacturers' Association financed the establishment of the Fire Extinguisher Recycle Promotion Center , which has been in operation since January 1, 2010. This center efficiently and promptly processes unnecessary fire extinguishers.

The Morita Group is engaged in broad-area collection and recycling of disused fire extinguishers.

Japan's First Recycled Fertilizer Born out of Fire Extinguishing Agents

For plant growth, phosphorus is essential. However, Japan has relied completely on import when it comes to the raw materials of phosphorus-containing fertilizers for a long time. The Morita Group recycles the phosphorus contained in fire extinguishing agents at a concentration of approximately 60% as a plant fertilizer, thereby returning it to the nature.
